Severn Bridge-Second Crossing

I took these on Thursday after seeing that there were some clouds to the west as sunset approached and nipped down there 40 minutes away. It's a popular location for photographers but as the light changes then it's always worth a try. I went on the mud and as I came away a local advised me not to do that as there are hollows that are covered with a thin layer of mud and fishermen have been trapped waist deep there and the rescue services have had to be called out-I don't need telling twice lol. I treated it as I would sand but the Severn is notoriously treacherous .The mud was firm near the edge and there were large boulders there placed by the council but as I walked towards the water about 30 metres away(the tide was out) it got a bit spongy so I retreated. It was freezing too (0C on the car gauge)and my fingers hurt-it's difficult to press buttons etc. with gloves on.I used a 3-stop ND with some. I hope they post better than the aircraft thumbnails last time...don't know what happened there.

I don't know how I missed this, I guess because I haven't been posting anything myself. Great story to go along with some beautiful photos. What a stunning bridge span you have there against the colorful sunset.

Cool shots there, like the way you have captured the aircraft trails!
